I was going to put this pic in with the last one, but the composition wasn't right. I was at the hospital on 2nd and Grace pl., having a massage. This was taken just down the street from the former Vault, which is now another restaurant, I believe. I remember being impressed with the ceiling and the old cast iron post lamps. The dining room had a great antique feel to it. I can't remember the name of the dish my companion and I chose, but I do remember the main course, which was like barbequed okra, something I've never encountered before or since. It was amazing. I also believe we sat next to a famous local dog trainer [Jack Daniels] and his dog, who I think I was not allowed to touch. I was about 8 at the time.
I used to work at Grace Place and I love the restaurant. I love how they used to have toast or English muffins with peanut butter on a plate! I worked in the kitchen one night they had these old neon signs and trash cans in the freezer, full of ice and a fish & chips! The chicken was delicious! d2c66b5586
