Having successfully d/l'd and installed the \"no-activation\" CS2 files, I can launch PhotoshopCS2 but InDesignCS2 rejects the serial number provided for these special versions. Any idea how to remedy this glitch
My CS2 suite ran fine under this OS previously but due to a system failure and subsequent HD transplant I was required to reactivate the 'ware. However, the CS2 activation server is down & out, so special versions of the CS2 suite are provided with new serial numbers and no activation requirement. After download and installation of the special version, PhotoshopCS2 opens and runs fine and reflects the new serial number in the Help screen. However when launching InDesignCS2 a dialogue headed \"Personalize Your Software\" pops up asking for Name, Organization & Serial Number. The Name and Organization fields are filled in properly with the info I supplied on installation but the SN is not. I entered the supplied serial number but get a message it is invalid. The instructions with the special download specifically state to use the NEW serial number, which is what I entered, but it always rejects it.
Chipnyman I would recommend utilizing the steps listed in Invalid user name, organization, or serial number error Production Studio applications (Windows). You may need to adapt some of the steps as they were originally designed for Windows XP and 2000.
That is correct Chipnyman the last 4 digits are not displayed to protect the serial number/software license. You will want to utilize the serial numbers located with the Creative Suite 2 installers from Error: Activation Server Unavailable CS2, Acrobat 7, Audition 3.
I am having an identical set of issues but am using Windows 7. My hard disk died and I am simply trying to get back up to speed on the new one. I have Creative Suite 2 Premium. PhotoShop is up and seems to be running. I had the same issues with Install Disk 2 as mentioned above, but was able to resolve them by moving the specified files. However, I am unable to \"personalize\" InDesign because the system does not like the serial number. I have tried the one that came on the original box and the one that was on the link I used to download the programs. Both with and without the hyphens.
Most of these products were released 7 years ago and many of them are not available on the latest operating systems. However, in order to ensure that older users who previously purchased these products can properly activate their software after they have been re-installed, Adobe publishes a number of available serial numbers for these old users, which also means that people can use the Adobe CS2 Suite for free in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other software.
Adobe reiterates in the official forum that, legally, only existing CS2 authorized users can download and install and use the serial number, while other users may use it, but that does not mean that Adobe is providing free CS2 software.
Nowadays, customer can upgrade from Volume License to single-user license, but this is not really advisable unless you will take the burden of doing the Unlocking process everytime you will install the Upgrade version. Eventhough you have a valid previous qualifying version serial number, that serial number will not work because it is under the volume license program. So the last resort is to contact Adobe Customer Service to unlock your software so you will be able to activate it.
HelloAm using adobe cs3 installed on 10 computers on a network but when i mistakenly used adobe photoshop cs4 portable on one of the computers, the whole adobe cs3 suite got expired and its requesting for serial number. How do i activate it on this single computerThanks.
I upgraded from a number of standalone Adobe products and only had to enter the serial numbers for my previous product. For instance, I upgraded from Photoshop CS4 to CS6, Premiere Pro CS5 to CS6, Audition 5.5 to CS6, Dreamweaver CS4 to CS5.5, and Acrobat 8 to 9. 153554b96e
